Binaural Beats & Lucid Dreaming

I have recently been researching binaural beats to see if they could be beneficial for lucid dreamers. If you haven't heard of binaural beats you may be interested to read more about them here: http://uazu.net/sbagen

My initial research shows that they do not provide an easy way for us to invoke lucid dreams. However, they can affect your mental state and help you to relax or become more alert. With this limited benefit in mind I intend to extend www.iAmLucidDreaming.com to have a binaural beats area where we can experiment and report on our findings.

Eventually I intend to increase the experimental parts of the website to include subliminal messaging techniques and self hypnosis techniques. When brought together with all our other lucid dreaming techniques these limited tools may provide the assistance many of us have been looking for.

I will be developing the binaural beats feature over the next few weeks. If you would like to be involved in the research you can read more about it and show your interest in the forum.

Sharing Your Lucid Dreams

I made an update to our online dream journal today at www.iAmLucidDreaming.com. You can now choose to share selected dreams.

Your dream will be presented on it's own page which you can link to from any forum or website.

A posting is automatically posted in our My Lucid Dreams forum to let our other members know about the new dream.

I have a few more ideas in this area so stay tuned for more information soon :)

I have also created a video page to hold our lucid dream video play list. I hope you are being inspired by the videos we have selected so far.

Inspirational Videos for your Lucid Dreams

Yesterday I started a new channel on YouTube especially for lucid dreamers. The channel will initially hold a playlist of videos that will help to inspire your lucid dreams. I have more playlists planned for later.

Some of the clips I have already added include scenes from the matrix showing abilities that we could mimic in our dreams and a relaxing video of someone flying through the clouds.

Click here to visit the channel. You can leave comments, share it or embed it in your own website.

Do you have any favourite videos on YouTube that you could use to inspire a cool lucid dream? Email me your ideas at brett@iAmLucidDreaming.com or come and post your idea in our forums.

Helping You To Lucid Dream

It occurred to me after adding more articles and features to www.iAmLucidDreaming.com, that it may be increasingly difficult for new members to know what to do first or for existing members to realise what new features have been added.

I don't want anyone to miss out on the most important tools and articles that we are providing as this will limit their lucid dreaming potential.

Enter the new "Website Guide" gadget. This is a simple gadget that is on the homepage by default. After registering for free or logging in, it shows a tab of articles that you should read, and a tab of tasks that you should perform. As you complete each of the suggestions you should check the box. The figure at the bottom of the gadget is updated to show how much of the website you are currently making use of.

As we add new features they will appear on the gadget and your site utilisation figure will drop indicating that there are more ways for us to help you have lucid dreams.

If you can't see the gadget on the homepage use the Gadgets main menu option to enable it.

Hover over the question marks to see more details on each item.

I hope this ensures everyone gets the most from our website.

Step 4: Our Online Lucid Dream Journal

Our website is 1 month old today. That went quick!! With the introduction of the online lucid dream journal we have already achieved our major goals. There is still plenty to do of course.

The Online Lucid Dream Journal
Keeping a dream journal is an essential key to achieving lucid dreams. They increase your dream recall and help you to identify dream signs.

We have created an online dream journal that, unlink most you will find, has been specifically created for lucid dreamers. This tool is not for sharing your dreams because blogs are better for that purpose. The idea is to save your dreams along with other data that will allow you to identify dream signs and track your progress while monitoring the various techniques you use to induce lucid dreams.

The dream journal is password protected and all the text is encrypted in your browser before it is sent over the network to our database. Your password is never stored anywhere to further protect your privacy.

We have further plans to extend the functionality if the gadget proves to be popular.

The dream journal gadget sits on our homepage, along with our Lucid Dream Clock which reminds you to perform reality checks, and our lucid dream to do list which you can use to plan what you will do when you become lucid. As you can see we are now building up a good collection of tools that compliment the articles we are writing on lucid dreaming.

Make us your homepage to get the most benefit from these tools and to keep up to date with any discussions in our forums. Remember you can also perform a Google search from any of our pages, making us an ideal starting point for browsing the web.

I hope you enjoy our new gadget. Let us know what you think.

Lively Lucid Dream Room

Google has just released their new virtual world at www.lively.com. I am always on the lookout for how new technology can help our members and this has some real potential!

One of the techniques used by lucid dreamers before they sleep is to tell themselves that they will have a lucid dream and imagine being in that dream in the hope of planting this thought in their subconscious.

The virtual rooms on Lively let us take this one step further to produce a powerful visualisation tool. We have created a virtual room that obviously you cannot visit is real life. This is quite a plain room that will be easy to visualise having a chair, a picture and an exit.

How will this help?
  1. Visit the room. Hang out there, chat to your friends there, really get to know it well.
  2. Visit it before you go to bed. Sit in the chair, look at the picture and tell yourself that you will go there in your dreams.
  3. Go to bed and again visualise the room as you fall to sleep.
  4. If you dream of the room, you will know that you must be dreaming as the room doesn't exist.
  5. You should now be able to become fully lucid and leave the room via the exit.

For full details see: TheDreamRoom in our articles section, or Click here to visit the virtual lucid dream room.

This all sounds great in thoery, but let us know if it works for you by posting in our forums at www.iAmLucidDreaming.com

I hope you have fun there.

Do you want to have lucid dreams?

Blogs are a great way to pass on your experience to others while being creative and having fun in the process. At www.iAmLucidDreaming.com we want to encourage people to publish blogs about their experience with lucid dreaming.
